Our first week in Kindergarten!

We have had a BLAST our first week in Kindergarten! We have worked on writing our names, cutting, coloring, and even glueing! We have also played in fun centers, made art projects, enjoyed the playground, and gotten SOAKED at the Splash Party! Enjoy the pictures!! :)

Hello! :)

Hi! I am Sharon Scyphers and I am fortunate enough to be your child's Kindergarten teacher! I am very excited to begin my third year of teaching, but more importantly my first year in Kindergarten! I interned in the Spring of 2008 in 1st Grade with Mrs. Alisha Seeley. After completing my internship I was hired for a 2nd Grade position. I taught 2nd Grade for two years before moving to Kindergarten this year. I have fallen in love with Beauregard Elementary School and I feel so blessed to be a part of such a loving school and community.

A little about me...I am originally from the little town of Ariton, AL. It is right outside of Enterprise, AL. I lived there for 19 years surrounded by my immediate and extended family, whom mostly are educators. My Mother, Father, Grandmother, and Great-Aunt are all current or retired teachers and each of them had a hand in helping me become a teacher also! I graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelors in Early Childhood Education on May 10, 2008. WAR EAGLE!! I'm an avid AUBURN fan! My boyfriend, Will, also graduated from Auburn University in Building Science and is currently job searching in the Atlanta area. I have a 1 year old Maltese, Macy, that thinks she is a child! A few other things that I love are my friends and family, God, shopping, and the beach!

I look forward to getting to know your child and your families more as we travel through a FUN year of Kindergarten! Please feel free to contact me at ANY time if you have any questions or concerns. With your help, we will make this a very successful and exciting school year! :)
